DJ KHALED No1 ON BILLBOARD 200 FOR 2 WEEKS IN A ROW

Everyone is talking about it. I’m not referring to the Mayweather vs Conor fight happening on August 26th but i’m talking about the 10th Studio album of Dj Khaled titled Grateful being number one on the billboard 200 for 2weeks in  row. Khaled  did it again.

DJ KHALED No1 ON BILLBOARD 200 FOR 2 WEEKS IN A ROW

DJ Khaled’s Grateful notches a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart — it is the first album to spend more than one week at No. 1 in two months. In the week ending July 6, Grateful earned 70,000 equivalent album units (down 53 percent), according to Nielsen Music. Traditional album sales comprised 16,000 (down 68 percent) of that sum.

Billboard 200

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new July 22, 2017-dated chart (where DJ Khaled holds for a second week at No. 1) will be posted in full to Billboard’s websites on Tuesday, July 11.

DJ Khaled’s Grateful finished its second week stronger than expected, as some industry forecasters had suggested the album would earn around 60,000 units for the week. The album continues to be supported largely by streams, as it tallied 42,000 SEA units — down 48 percent — equaling 63.4 million on-demand audio streams for the album’s songs. Grateful also earned 12,000 TEA units for the week (down 36 percent).

Wild Thoughts Number One

DJ Khaled scores his first No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B Songs chart (dated July 15), as “Wild Thoughts,” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller

“Wild Thoughts” also reaches new peaks on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (No. 2) and the Billboard Hot 100 (No. 3). As DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One,” featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne, leads Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a fourth week, and with “wild Thoughts” up 3-2, Khaled is the first act to rank at Nos. 1 and 2 on the chart simultaneously since Drake on Feb. 20, 2016 — with his own “Summer Sixteen” and as featured on Rihanna’s “Work,” at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, that week.

I’m The one

Khaled is the first artist to double up at Nos. 1 and 2 as a lead on both songs since The Weeknd, whose “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face” held the top two spots, in that order, on Oct. 10, 2015.

Meanwhile, “I’m on One” rules Hot Rap Songs for a ninth week. With ” Wild Thoughts” now atop Hot R&B Songs, Khaled is the first act to top both charts at the same time since (surprise) Drake, whose “Too Good,” featuring Rihanna, led Hot Rap Songs for three weeks in September while “One Dance” was amid its 20-week command on Hot R&B Songs.

Both ” Wild Thoughts” and ” I’m on One” are from DJ Khaled’s new album Grateful, which debuts as his fourth No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart and second No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop AlbumsHe previously led Top Rap Albums with Major Key in 2016; I Changed a Lot in 2015; and We the Best Forever in 2011. He first crowned Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums with Major Key.

Grateful, DJ Khaled’s 10th studio album, arrives atop each chart, and at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200, with 149,000 equivalent album units (50,000 in traditional album sales) in the week ending June 29, according to Nielsen Music.
